From the early days when food was prepared and cooked around an open fire, man has been designing the area in which food is prepared . From fancy stone arrangements to off center clay ovens, people have been creating a special environment in which to prepare food. Modern day materials and the abundance of previously scarce and difficult to polish materials such as granite and certain fancy stone materials has given the modern designer of kitchens a regular smorgasboard of opportunity and in some cases leading designers are pushing at the frontiers of what is possible in the average smallish space allocated for the modern day kitchen. On this website there are some designs but we will regularly add designers and completed work to the site, ensuring that you get a better idea of what is available out there in terms of modern kitchens.
